Having worked in Fintech, Ride-Hailing, e-Commerce, Enterprise, and the Government of Canada, Usama is a versatile and enthusiastic Product Designer with a solid background in Human-Centered Design integrated into User Experience. During his overall tenure with current and previous employers, he has had the opportunity to work on big scale products such as Careem (Acquired by Uber), Pulse (Amazon Prime), Paradigm Quest (Canadian Mortgage Company), METRO Cash & Carry, and CMHC (Canada Greener Homes Grant). With these experiences, he has learned and honed valuable collaboration and team management skills that allow him to both manage and work constructively and inventively in group-based environments. Driven by the goal to give consumers a great User Experience, his passion lies in making accessible products and complex processes feel simple, smoothing out existing interaction concepts, and inventing new ones.
